Several officers, soldiers and civilians make up a big part of the history of Governors Island. Each have ties that connect them to the many National Parks and historic sites. These individuals were often the ones who made those places historic, like Yellowstone and Gettysburg. In this park ranger talk we will tell a few of their stories and give you some ideas for next summer’s vacation.
